Camouflage Fabric for Military and Tactical Backpacks
Military and tactical backpacks require fabrics that can withstand abrasion, tearing, repeated handling and outdoor exposure while maintaining consistent colour and construction across production runs. Yi Chun develops nylon and polyester pack fabrics in 420D, 500D and 1000D options, with Oxford, ripstop and other constructions available according to the application.
Fabric Construction Depends on the Pack Requirement
There is no single fabric construction for every tactical backpack. Main body panels, reinforcement areas, pouches and equipment bags can place different demands on weight, abrasion resistance, tear strength and flexibility.
Higher-denier constructions may be considered where greater durability and abrasion resistance are required, while lighter constructions can be used where reducing weight or improving flexibility is more important. Ripstop or Oxford constructions, coating and water-repellent finishing can then be selected according to the required balance of strength, weather protection and fabrication needs.
Yi Chun can develop the construction around the target denier, finished weight and required test values rather than treating denier alone as the performance specification.

Testing & Programme Requirements
Where a customer specification defines particular test methods or acceptance values, Yi Chun can review those requirements against the proposed fabric construction and identify the available test data or additional testing needed. Fluorine-free water-repellent options can also be evaluated where required.
Scope: Yi Chun supplies fabric for packs, pouches and related equipment applications. Ballistic, body armour and parachute materials are outside the scope of this product range.

- Assault packs, rucksacks and three-day packs — main body and reinforcement fabrics requiring a balance of abrasion resistance, tear strength and weight.
- Modular pouches and admin panels — lighter or more flexible constructions may be considered depending on attachment and equipment requirements.

- Range bags and equipment cases — constructions can be selected around abrasion, load and protection requirements.
Working with Yi Chun
Weaving, coating and printing all happen at our own facility in Taichung, which is why a shade or coating adjustment is days rather than weeks.
