Application
Technical Fabric, Built Around the End Product
A fabric only makes sense once you know what it has to survive. A mattress cover has to pass an infection-control protocol. A ground sheet has to sit in the sun for a season with diesel pooling on it. A stroller canopy has to clear a children's product regulation before it is allowed on a shelf. Yi Chun weaves, coats and laminates in Taichung, Taiwan, and we quote against the requirement the end product has to meet — not against a generic datasheet.
One Mill, from Yarn to Finished Roll
Weaving, coating, lamination, printing and finishing happen under one roof here, so a specification change is one conversation rather than four. It also means we can adjust the base cloth to solve a coating problem, or the coating to solve a hand-feel problem — the two levers most suppliers can only pull one of.
Markets We Build for
- Medical & Healthcare — pressure care mattress fabric, blood pressure cuff and tourniquet fabric. Crib 5, skin compatibility, antibacterial.
- Military & Tactical — 1000D and 420D camouflage fabric for packs and field equipment. Batch-to-batch consistency for programme work.
- Outdoor & Camping — tent, rainwear and pack fabric. PFAS-free DWR with wash-durability data.
- Baby & Kids — stroller and nursery fabric tested to US and EU children's product requirements.
- Pet Products — chew and abrasion resistant fabric for strollers, carriers and harnesses.
- Industrial & Civil Engineering — ground protection, containment and coated fabric for converters.
- Contract & Hospitality — flame retardant, stain resistant seating fabric for hotel and commercial interiors.
- Equestrian — turnout rug and horse wear fabric.
Regulation Vary by Product and Market
The requirements for a fabric depend on the end product and the market it enters. Performance, chemical, flammability and other compliance requirements can influence the choice of base fabric, coating, lamination and finishing. Defining these requirements early helps identify the appropriate construction before sampling and testing.
Tell us what the fabric has to survive. Send the end product, the market it ships to and the specification it is written against, and we will come back with the construction that meets it.
